Main Street of Dubrovnik

The main street in Old Dubrovnik is called The Placa or The Stradun.  It runs from from Pile Gate in the west to the Dubrovnik Bell Tower in the east.

During the day, this pedestrian mall is filled with people walking between Dubrovnik's major tourist attractions.

In the evening hours, when most cruise passengers have returned to their ships, the Stradun transforms into an entertainment area with cafes, bars and ice cream vendors.

When visiting Dubrovnik, make sure to to explore the narrow laneways that run from the Placa.  You will certainly discover some interesting shops and cute cafes.
